Before you consent: nothing

work.featuringcode.comis a static site. On a fresh visit it ships no analytics, no tracking pixels, no ad scripts, and no third-party widgets — the Google Analytics script is not even downloaded until you press Accept. Fonts are self-hosted, so there is no font-service request that could track you either. You can verify this in your browser's developer tools: before consent, the storage panel stays empty and no request leaves for Google.

If you accept analytics

Pressing Accept loads Google Analytics 4, which sets two cookies on this domain: _ga and _ga_* (both expire after about 13 months by default; we do not extend that). They let Google Analytics count visits and tell pages apart — aggregate usage statistics that show which case studies and pages actually help people. Google LLC processes this data on our behalf; see the privacy policy for what that means under GDPR.

Your choice itself is remembered in localStorage (key fc-analytics-consent) so we don't re-ask on every page. Remembering a consent decision is a strictly necessary use and needs no consent of its own.

If you reject — or say nothing

Rejecting (or ignoring the banner) means Google Analytics never loads. No cookies, no data to Google, full stop. The site works identically either way — analytics is a favor to us, not a requirement for you.

Change your mind anytime

Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it — flip it right here. Withdrawing stops measurement immediately and deletes the analytics cookies.

External links

The site links to third-party platforms (GitHub, LinkedIn, YouTube, the blog). Those platforms set their own cookies on their own sites once you navigate there — governed by their policies, not this one. Nothing loads from them while you are here.
